Description:

This modification adds new textures to the mini map in the Starfleet Command 3 HUD (= Head-Up display, the visual interface). I have modified some of the original '.tga' files so that the stock map controls have got a TNG design.
Since the positions of the buttons (zoom in, enable/disable ship icons etc.) stay the same, you will probably not be irritated by the new graphics.

	Readme File: Grebnedlog's Enhanced HUD (TNG style) ------------------------------------------------------- Overview: This modification adds new textures to the mini map in the Starfleet Command 3 HUD (= Head-Up display, the visual interface). I have modified some of the original '.tga' files so that the stock map controls have got a TNG design. Since the positions of the buttons (zoom in, enable/disable ship icons etc.) stay the same, you will probably not be irritated by the new graphics. The included files are all saved in the '.tga' format. In comparison to standard '.bmp' or '.jpeg' images, this format includes an alpha (transparency) channel so that only the icons themselves, and not the surrounding pixels are drawn. To open '.tga' files, I recommend you to use the Microsofts DirectX SDK, which includes a texture editor that supports most existing picture formats. Installation: Simply copy the 'Assets' folder in this '.zip' file into your SFC3 root directory (usually 'C:/Program Files/Activision/SFC3'). When you are asked whether you want to overwrite existing files, click 'yes to all'. If you want to backup the stock textures, you have to copy the following files from the 'Assets/Textures' folder before: 'TacticalDisplay_Base.tga', 'TacticalDisplay_ButtonsOff.tga', 'TacticalDisplay_ButtonsOn.tga', 'TacticalDisplay_HyperMass.tga', 'TacticalDisplay_Overlay.tga', 'TacticalDisplay_Ship.tga' and 'TacticalDisplay_Star.tga' Contact: Questions, ideas for improvements etc. can be sent to GrebnedlogMods at AOL dot com.
