Eventide (2) - File Description  


Description:
This download adds the USS Eventide the SFC3. The ship can be added and used in multiplayer without other players having this mod. The only file that is overwritten is the customLoadOut.txt. If you do not want to overwrite this file, simply copy the line of code from the customLoadOut.txt included and paste it into you existing custom ship list.

S H I P I N F O R M A T I O N


The Eventide Class starship is largely based on the Triumph Class starship which was designed as a replacement for the aging New Orleans Class. With the threat of the Borg, Starfleet needed a torpedo cruiser that was light on its feet and able to defend itself. The Triumph class best serves as support artillery delivering a barrage of firepower from behind attacking smaller vessels. Though most of the engineering work for the ship was completed prior to the Dominion War, the design was shelved as faster or cheaper vessels were required. The Triumph class was more adequate to fire continuing rounds at a Borg cube from outside of its cutting beam range then to engage in close combat with Dominion Kamikaze fighters. Once the Dominion war had ended, work on the project resumed. Many of these ships shared the same shipyard with the Sovereign Class. After the Triumph class had proven its worth, the hull style was used for the newly designed Eventide Class. The Eventide class has a much more well-rounded weapons array then the Triumph Class and is more heavily armored for close combat duty.

M O D E L I N F O R M A T I O N

The intent of this design was to catch the essence of Federation ships. Though this is a Post TNG vessel, I tried to give it a retro feel with a circular saucer and excelsior shaped secondary hull. This model has the largest, most detailed texture maps to be released by Interstellar Machine (feel free to resize as needed) at 1024 x 1024 pixels. For you budding modelers out their I have included an easy kitbash source file of the ship, distinct parts are grouped, so it is a simple click and move process.

Unzip zip file into . . .Assets/Models folder in your main Starfleet Command directory. Access shiplist.txt from the . . .Assets/Specs folder with a spreadsheet program (an ASCII reading program will also work). Make a backup of this file. Scroll through the ship listings until you find the ship you would like this ship to act like, copy the line, and paste it below as a new entry. In the new entry line, change the “Class” to something distinct and change the “Geometry” to “assets/models/Eventide/Eventide.mod”. Save the file. Nice didn't think the IM was still pumping out the ships still a big fan of the antithesis fleet! big grin this is cool 10/10!
