SFC3: Rexpansion - MiniDW Fix #1 - File Description  


Description:
This is a quick fix for those who have problems playing SP miniDW campaign. It also installs two self extractors that can switch between stock and mod specs.

Requirements:
Star Trek: Starfleet Command III
SFC3 v1.01 beta2 build 534B Patch
SFC3 RExpansion 2007.0
SFC3 MiniDW Addon

Please do not install DirectX9 fix, Nemesis addon, and/or other mods before installing this mod.

Warning:
This mod might make your previous saved games and customloadout unplayable.

How to install:
Install to where your SFC3 is installed. The setup wizard will detect the path from your registry, or you may choose to install it to a different folder.

Fixes & Features:
Fix mission not loading when count down to 0.
Restore the stock and mod specs switch.
Use species 8472 bioship as monster.

I will release a full installer which includes the Rexpansion 2007.0, MiniDW, and this fix. I have done my best to fix any problem that I can think of, but unfortunately my ability is limited. So you may still meet problems which I cannot do anything about it.frown

I thought of something. if you can switch beetwen Stock and the Mod with the batch files. would it bepossible to switch beetwen difrent versions of the mod? as in eras (Ent, TOS, TMP, pre TNG , early tng, Dominion war etc). just a thought

Yes, it can be done. But I actually don't use batch files, I use self extractors that work as installers.

As for other eras, it would be a problem because some Borg pics in the game cannot be changed... That's why I still keep Borg as 4th race in my mod.

I haven't experienced any glitch since the one file link you provided a few days after releasing the miniDW.

This file is mostly the same to the fix I gave you. The only difference is that I added some icons and used 8472 as monster. You may decide to download it or not yourself. smile

Thanks yochenhsieh for fixing the problem with count down to 0 thing that was really bugging me!

How did you get the Cardassian race in the game?
And is it possible to put in one more race that way there would be 3 good guys and 3 bad guys?

There is not enough weapon variations in SFC3. So I have to mix Dominion, Cardassian, and Breen together.

I think "How to get the Cardassian in the game" is a long story which I have problems to explain it in English...

I was wondering because I would to try my hand at mod making!

To Tigerus, You're starting off on the right foot by securing permission to use other peoples work. I only require that credit be given when using my work, but others have varied and different opinions. Meshes and textures can take a lot of effort and some people become quite particular on how their work is released.
