Star Trek Online Mod (4.0) - File Description  


Description:
This mod is based on the storyline of the upcomming game "Star Trek Online", by Cryptic Studios. Set 30 years after "Star Trek Nemisis", the Khitomer Accords have broken down and the Federation and Klingon Empire are at war. The Ferengi Alliance has joined the Federation, and the Klingon Empire has absorbed both the Gorn Confederation as well as the Orion Syndicate. In an unprecedented turn of events, the Romulan Star Empire and the Cardassian Union, both still recovering from their own individual wars, have joined forces to form the Romulan/Cardassian Alliance. Taking advantage of the circumstances, piracy is again on the rise in the galaxy, and scattered Dominion and Breen forces continue to pose a threat. Admist all of this, the Borg Collective has returned to the Alpha Quadrant, throwing the galactic powers into chaos and war.

***Features***

*Every faction is at war.

*Gorn, Orion, and Mirak ships have been added to the Klingon Empire.

*Cardassian, Hydran, Lyran, and Rakellian ships have been added to the Romulan Empire.

*ISC, Ferengi, and many other new ships have been added to the Federation.

*New ships have been added to the Borg Collective.

*Battlestations have been added to the map for every race.

*Shipyards have been added to the map for every race.

*Federation, Klingon, Romulan, and Pirate shuttles replaced with fighters.

*Each race has their own custom defense platforms.

*Each race has their own unique homeworld planet for planetary assault missions.

*NPC ships can now join player fleets even if the NPC ship is a higher class than the player ship.

*Class number limit restrictions have been removed for fleets.

*Monster has been replaced by Species 8472 bioship. Bioship has borg regenerating hull and romulan disruptors/torpedos. Bioship is approximately equal to a heavy cruiser.

*Rakellian NPC Frigate and Lightcruiser have been replaced with Dominion and Breen ships.

*Ferengi Marauder NPC replaced with Pirate Lightcruiser.

***Install***

1)Install SFC3 from cd.

2) install sfc3 beta patch v534_b.

3) Copy the "Assets" and "MetaAssets" folders from the "Star Trek Online Mod" folder and paste them into your main SFC3 directory.

Posts: 24 		Actually, the "pizza cutter" version you refer to is the model from Starfleet Command Orion Pirates, not fan made. The game just came out when poly counts were lower than they are todaystick out tongue

Posts: 252 		Why has no one made a mod with Cardassians, Pirates and species 8472 has a play able race. With out taking others race.

I mean you should be able to play with

Federation
Klingons
Romulans
Borg
Cardassians
Pirates
species 8472

On there own not mixed in or take out the Borg and replace it with some thin els.

Posts: 24 		Sadly, the game does not fully support those races. It is possible to add ships and stations for them, but the game will not recognize turrets or shipyards, and uses Federation turrets/shipyards. So if you were to add Species 8472, for example, and then attack one of its bases, the base would have Federation turrets guarding it, which, IMHO, completely ruins the feel of species 8472 frown
