Through the dedication of David Ferrell, who has now left Taldren, we present the final patch for SFC Orion Pirates. This is the file you'd use just after a fresh install of OP.

Anything noted is of purely an academic nature. 2.5.5.2 is the
last patch for OP. Fin, Nada Mas, Zippo, Zero, Zilch.

how is it that after having risen in rank does not entitle the player with bigger and better ships. A rank itself is proof of performance and it should entitle a player more ships and better ships. A fleet admiral could very well end piloting a frigate which is ridiculous, He should be heading and ordering all ships.
When the capture command is given all allied ships although not the ships being headed by the player should do the same and not operate independently. More often then nought the allied ships end up destroying the ships or dockyard one is trying to capture

these are perhaps the weakest ships in the game, their entire flleet is based on defending themselves with ESGs instead of having proper attack systems The Mirak and ISC have the most powerful attack weapons in the game, followed by tothers. No wonder it is easier to destroys a Lyran ship

Everytime i install this patch single player campaign won't open the game just crashes when i press campaign. Any idea what is going on???

Reinstall game and then apply the patch.

same problem as darthlaforge - if I go into my single-player campaign the program just closes completely. That was a good campaign I had going. So the fix is to "reinstall OP and then apply the patch"? There has GOT to be a better way.........I'd rather not lose the campaign and have to start all over again. Is there a way to backup the files that hold the campaign information and then once the reinstall is complete to restore the campaign? That information has to be stored *somewhere*..............
