Right-click on SFC.EXE in the mod directory and select "Properties".

Select the "Compatibility" tab and select the "Disable visual themes".

Launc SFC3 and all should be well.

I followed the above soloution and all it does is crash the game. I click on start a single player game and it returns me to my desktop, also all the vessles and starbases have dissaperaed from the vessel library! Help

I Keep getting this error report when starting up sfc3- Unhandled Exception! in version 1.00 Build 435 SFC3.EXE caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module TAL3DEngineR.DLL at 001B:027A6BBE, have tried disabling visual themes but that does nothing the same error report keeps popping up.

What should I do?

Hi,

I run the game all the set up screens are fine, as soon as I press the start playing button the game shuts down and I'm back in the windows screen. Please tell me what happened and how can I get the game to work!

im getting the same EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error as every one else on XP so i tried installing sfc3 on VISTA Home and it runs fine no dx9 patches or beta patches

my sfc wont run starts fine then just as about to start i get a please install dx 8.1 but its is all ready installed what am i doing wrong

I have installed SFC 3 and it says that it is installed successfully. Then installed Direct X 8.1 and that also says successful. But when I run the game, once it gets past the initial start up it crashes before it gets to the main menu and says Direct X 8.1 not installed.

What can I do about this?

i have the same problem as all of the above i tried rite click Compatibility, Disable visual themes, and the game crashes is there away to resolve this at all so i can play the game i have played sfc2 with no problems y is sfc3 so unsteady and full of bugs we pay good money to play it and yet we cornt play it some one pleas help us Two Thumbs Down!
